My name is Kisha Patel.  I am from Decatur, GA, but I moved to the States when I was twelve. I attended Georgia State University as an undergraduate and earned my Bachelor of Science degree (GSU CLASS OF 2023). I am working on getting my masters here at Georgia College & State University in Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology (GCSU, 2025). As much as I know, I have always loved educating and spreading awareness about education. It was something in my blood, so I never considered becoming a teacher until one of my old-school science teachers saw my graduation post and asked me what I was doing now, what my plans were, etc. She suggested that I apply for a high school science teacher while figuring out my plans for my master's, and I did. Here I am one year later. I realized that I was always manifesting the wrong career, and teaching was something for which I was made. I believe that the job I had while I was at Georgia State was a message from god because it was so similar to essential teachers and their duties where I had to create three different activities for opening, middle, and closing, and that's what basic teacher lesson plans are supposed to look like.  FUN FACT: I work at the high school I attended as a student.
